  • New management at Bächler - familiar faces

    Mr. Reto Strickler - Director of Manufacturing and Mr. Lukas Aebersold - Director of Supply Chain, will take over the position of Managing Director(s) and thus the management of Bächler as a team. Both have been with the company for over 20 years and have already been on the management team for some time. The number of employees increases to 260.

  • Merger of Gehring Cut AG with Bächler Feintech AG into one company

    The main offices of Bächler Feintech AG are in Hölstein (BL), Switzerland. The company is lead by Lucas van der Merwe (CEO), Lukas Aebersold (CTO/CSO), and Reto Strickler (CPO).
    Through the merger the number of employees increases to 240.

  • Planning, approval, and start of building extension. Mr. Jürg Bächler (CTO) is leaving the company at the end of the year. The number of employees increases to 160.
  • 2019
  • Sale of Bächler Feintech AG

    Sale of Bächler Feintech AG from the private ownership of the Bächler family to the ownership of Klingel Holding GmbH for a sustainable succession plan. The previous management consisting of Martin Bächler and Jürg Bächler will hand over their activities to Mr. Lucas van der Merwe, who will officially take over the position of CEO from March 20, 2019. Mr. Martin Bächler will work in the position of Head of Finance (CFO) as well as in the management for the company until the end of 2019. Mr. Jürg Bächler will remain in his position as Head of Purchasing & Technology (CTO) and as a member of the Executive Board. The Chairman of the Board of Directors is now Mr. Ralf Petrawitz.

    The number of employees increases to 150.

  • Start of building extension, which was delayed due to the preceding, economically tumultuous years. The number of employees increases to 115.

  • Erich Bächler resigns as Chairman of the Board of Directors after 46 years.

  • Building extension planning underway. The number of employees increases to 100.

  • The modernized company now employs 17 people. Relocation to a larger and expandable property in Niederdorf.
  • 1964
  • Acquisition of the small décolletage company Gebr. Stephani AG in Oberdorf by Erich Bächler. With a total of 7 employees, turned parts were manufactured for the watch, apparatus, and machine industries.
